water with just the right mineral content. The guys at Yeastie Boys 
have once again released a beer like no other, enjoy and savour it 
with mates!
Possible Food Match:
We recommend the Tempura Soft Shell Crab with this beer, as we 
feel the bitter hopped characteristics of the beer match well to 
seafood and the tempura batter.

A unique combination of two of west Aucklands hidden secrets. 
The Porter Noir showcases the ingenuity of small batch craft brewing 
and the ever-growing winemaking culture that both thrive just 30 minutes 
out of Auckland. Hallertau have taken their elegant and chocolaty 
number 4 porter and aged it in Pinot noir barrels from a nearby award 
winning vineyard, for six months. This is a truly unique beer and will 
remain one of our favorites for a long time to come. 
Possible Food Match:
Our recommendation would, without a doubt, be the barbecued beef, 
red onions, capers and salsa verde, or, for desert, the decadent 
chocolate truffle tart with salted caramel ice cream.

Epicurean 'Coffee & Fig Imperial Oatmeal Stout 2011'                         40.00

The Epicurean Coffee & Fig Oatmeal Stout is every bit as elaborate 
as the mouthful of a name suggests.  This luscious Oatmeal Stout is brewed 
with barbecue caramelized Turkish Lerida figs and left to mature on 
Ethiopean sidamo coffee, roasted by the good people at caffe l' affare. 
Then if that's not enough flavour for you, it is then conditioned on toasted 
coconut from the Philippines.  This beer is amazing!  It is great either 
as a dessert or as an accompaniment to a dessert.
Possible food Match:
We recommend that this be matched in the desert section; particularly 
with the Gorgonzola, with red wine poached pear and spiced walnuts, as 
well as the crème caramel dish on our small plates menu.
